Description

Mother and Child Search for their loved ones amist the waves after the Ponytanic sank beneath the waves @ 2:20 A.M. April 15th 1912. Their hair is disheveled because they were asleep in their cabin when the husband woke them upon impact with the berg and had the child and wife up on deck before all hell broke loose.

This has the potential to be a great piece of art, but it just wasn't very appealing to the eye at all.

First off, there is still the white lines around the character that shows they were cut out if a larger picture. The characters themselves also seem to be an exact copy of each other, one just stretched out more than the other.

Second, the colors. The color of the deck could have been easily changed to make it have a blended effect, giving it a better eye pop. The railing also needs some work, it could have some sort of shine at some point to add to the effect of the railing itself. And the sea. Just lined for waves? you could have put more effort in and maybe have included some sort of sea foam as well.

Third, the pose of the characters seems to be exactly the same again, and it just doesnt feel right to see two ponies in the exact same pose. To me, whether it is or not, it seems like these came from the Pony creator that is floating around here on dA.

So, the vision was alright, although it cold have been clearer, the originality was there, haven't seen anything like this before, but the poses made me shy away from a better originality rating. The technique can use some major improvement, get a better photo editor or practice how you do the designing of the set. Lastly, the impact is somewhat there, but it doesn't feel as sad when the only two ponies in the set have the same facial expressions.
